The American League East has become the central battleground for the AL playoff race, with the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles fighting for the division lead, and the loser of that battle on pace to clinch one of the two Wild Card spots. Moore has given up an average of four earned runs over that span, and doesn’t match up well against one of Toronto’s best pitchers in Brandon Morrow. Morrow is 8-6 with a 2.98 ERA, and could have even better numbers if he didn’t have to deal with so many nagging injuries throughout the course of the season.
