Are the Cavs NBA Finals favorites at your price per head Sportsbook?

During the preseason, when the Cleveland Cavaliers were having their very own “Return of the King”, every price per head sportsbook like IDSca.com had prop wagers placing the Cavaliers as favorites over the then NBA Champs Spurs. The Eastern Conference’s balance of power completely shifted in a matter of days, leaving Miami and moving to Cleveland. Then, the season started… and the Cavaliers were off to a shaky start.

The Cavaliers were simply not gelling as well as we had all expected, and LeBron James (back then) wasn’t playing his best basketball. However, when the Cavaliers were on point they were a thing to behold. Then came the trade that brought Iman Shumpert and J.R. Smith, and one thing left to another, The Cavaliers have now swept the Number 1 team of the East and they are now the Eastern Conference Champs, awaiting (most likely) Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors.

The question now for sports betting fans will be if the safe bet for the Finals at their price per head provider. There are a couple of things to take into consideration.

During the season, there was a lot of talk among pundits and writers about which was the best team in the NBA. The vast majority of opinions had the Warriors at the top of the hill, and with good merit. The average price per head Sportsbook still has the Warriors as the favorites to win the Championship.

The match made in heaven for the NBA Finals are undoubtedly the Warriors versus the Cavs. It is the match-up that every basketball fan wants to see, as the two top stars in the league will collide in what could be a dramatic series.

For the Cavaliers, they have the talent and the capacity of stopping the Warriors. But the key for them falls on how are they going to stop Steph Curry. Everybody knows that LeBron can deliver, but he will need backup from his defense to try to neutralize the ever-present threat of Curry’s clutch.

Considering how the Cavaliers are playing right now, the lines at your price per head Sportsbook could have them slightly edging the Warriors in the series, and perhaps entirely just because of LeBron. But keep in mind, the same thing happened last year, and we all know how that turned out.
