Freddy Adu Leaves U.S. team to go to Benfica

Freddy Adu did not play for the U.S. selection in the rest of the Gold Cup and will go to Portugal to join Benfica's the preseason, the coach Bob Bradley said after the 2-0 victory over Honduras.

Adu scored a goal Saturday in the victory of United States 4-0 in his debut against Granada. Wednesday was a shot on goal and was replaced for 64 minutes.
