NBA Betting: Heat Try To Stay Alive Against Celtics

A BSNblog review of the Eastern Conference finals to date would show you a tale of two series as Miami stormed out to a 2-0 lead, but Boston has stunned the Heat for three straight wins and now, they can close out the series at home on Thursday night.

Heat vs. Celtics Betting – Thursday, 8:30 PM ET

Boston got massive performances from Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo in a 94-90 win in Miami in Game 5, and sharps working with pay head systems have watched this duo carry the Celtics through this series. Garnett put up 26 points and 11 boards, while Rondo overcame a poor shooting night as he was 3-of-15 from the field for seven points, but he had 13 assists, six rebounds and four steals along with a number of hustle plays in the fourth quarter to put the Celtics on top. Paul Pierce, who has a knee sprain, fought it off to score 19 points for Boston, who are now 9-0 in Game 5s with a series tied at two games each since the trio of Garnett, Pierce and Ray Allen was formed. Even still, the Celtics can’t get any respect at legal online sports betting sites.

The Heat got 57 points and 19 rebounds from LeBron James (30 and 13) and Dwyane Wade (27 and 6), but no other Miami player had more than nine points and that has been a running theme throughout the playoffs. Chris Bosh has been out for nine games because of an abdominal injury, but he did have nine points and seven boards in 14 minutes and no one would have ever thought that he would be the key to Miami’s sports betting odds. With Bosh out, Garnett has dominated the post and Rondo feels like he can go to the hoop at any time and offensively, he spaces the floor out for James and Wade.

Miami is favored by two points on the road, where they’ve lost four in a row and both games so far in this series. Another major factor in this series is coaching as Boston’s Doc Rivers has slaughtered Miami’s Erik Spoelstra, who has to do something to get his team fired up because the Celtics look like a more motivated team that trusts their coach, while the Heat don’t seem to believe anything that Spoelstra says. A healthy Bosh would make more of a difference, but the team may be too far gone and the Celtics are a veteran squad that knows when to put the hammer down; also, being an underdog at home in a possible clincher is a supreme disrespect. Go with Boston on Thursday in your best online sportsbooks.
