NBA Odds: Lakers Face Tricky Visit from Nuggets

Sports Betting blogThe NBA standings are starting to take center stage as the shortened regular season is almost done, and in the Western Conference, business is picking up as three games separates fourth place from eighth, which is Denver, who are a game ahead of Phoenix. The Nuggets will look for an upset when they head to Los Angeles to take on the Lakers.

Nuggets vs. Lakers Betting – Friday, 10:30 PM ET

The Nuggets have to host Minnesota on Wednesday, but on Monday, they bounced back from a loss in Golden State by whipping the Warriors 123-84 and most US sportsbook reviews would state that the game was over after the first quarter as Denver were up 37-13. Kenneth Faried had a monster game with 27 points and 17 rebounds, while Danilo Gallinari came back from injury to score 15 points for the Nuggets, who shot 54.5% from the field and outrebounded the Warriors 60-27 in a dominant performance. Players that use price per head services know that the Nuggets lead the league in points scored, but it was also an excellent defensive performance by a team that is 29th in points allowed, so that’s encouraging.

The Lakers halted a two-game skid on Monday in a 93-91 win in New Orleans, and they were still without the injured Kobe Bryant, who had a problem with his shin. Pau Gasol had 25 points and nine rebounds, while Andrew Bynum added 18 points and 11 boards for the Lakers, who had a 46-35 edge on the glass and had 24 assists on their 36 field goals. Some sports betting players think that the Lakers are a better team without Bryant, as the ball moves more freely and the Lakers also go into the post more, but don’t take a win over New Orleans too seriously; check out their game on Thursday night in San Antonio as a better indication of where they are, and Bryant will likely be back in the lineup.

Look for the Lakers to be the NBA betting picks favorites at home, where they are 3-2 SU and 1-3-1- ATS against the Nuggets, who have a night off on Thursday and they could catch the Lakers a little fatigued after travelling from San Antonio. The Nuggets love to get out and run, and they’re deeper than you think, especially up front where they can deal with the Lakers’ length. Denver can’t afford to slip up down the stretch as not only Phoenix are on their heels, but Utah as well, so they have some added motivation. Take a chance and go with the Nuggets in your online sportsbook.
