Nadal conquers the cathedral in epic duel

London. Rafael Nadal won his first Wimbledon crown in the cathedral of tennis world, to break in an epic final to world number one, Roger Federer.
The left-handed Mallorca showed his profile more brazen before the first tournament favorite, until achieving a victory suffered three sets against two, with partial 6-4, 6-4, 6-7 (5), 6-7 (8) and 9-7.
The last three sets had to go to tiebreaker, before an audience that witnessed Extasi which undoubtedly will be considered one of the best matches in the entire history of white sport.
The confrontation consumed a total of four hours and 48 minutes, thus became the longest final in the history of the tournament. Overcame four hours and 16 minutes from the duel between Jimmy Connors and John McEnroe, who first won in 1982.
There were two suspensions by rain which helped to prolong the duration and sowed uncertainty, since only Wimbledon is played with natural light and the evening was already falling. If only 15 minutes late, the outcome would have been today.
Intense. It was a battle of titans, but in the end won the best player. Nadal not only dominated the battle tactic, but also was imposed in the mental, where it can do more damage to Federer.
At the fair play, calculated and the elegant Swiss lacks precision and effectiveness. Federer was wrong. And it did at key moments. And for every weakness of the Swiss, increased the grip of Spanish.
Nadal won in the first two sleeves and announced that he was able to repeat their success on grass in the clay.
But Federer was not going to give up so easy. Thanks to a spectacular comeback won the next two sets and forced a fifth and final race.
The rain cooled the two opponents and the public when the part was tied 2-2. It was not until about 20 minutes, but nobody moved seat in anticipation that they were watching a duel that will make history.
The match went to a thrilling 5-5. Nadal had two chances to break Federer in the eleventh game, but he escaped.
At this point was a tense encounter, with no forced some errors that showed the most extreme exhaustion.
Finally, the Spanish managed to break a service to the Swiss and remained with the mourning served on a plate. Of course, needed four match points to get the victory and prevent Federer will lift the sixth consecutive crown.
The king of clay now also proved that it can rule on the grass. Perhaps it is the beginning of a new era.
